Galahad formed in 1985 just for fun playing a mixture of covers (Genesis, Zeppelin, Rush, Sabbath, Focus, Marillion etc.), in order to get gigs and original material. Then, after mixing it with the slightly 'bigger boys' such a IQ, Pendragon and Magnum, Galahad decided take it more seriously, playing only original material resulting in the release of their first proper album in 1991, 'Nothing Is Written', which was self-financed, released independently but which sold several thousand copies.
Other Crimes & Misdemeanours I (1992). 'Official bootleg' album released on tape cassette back in January 1992. Subsequently re-mastered, tidied up and released on CD by Oskar Productions in 2008. A must for Galahad completists everywhere.
Other Crimes & Misdemeanours II (1997). During the summer of 95' it was a time for the second ''Other Crimes & Misdemeanours'' compilation by Galahad. It was originally released as a fan-club cassette album by Avalon, re- issued a couple of years later in CD format.It consists of tracks recorded by the band between 1986 and 1991, featuring previously unreleased material along with some reworkings from the first ''Other Crimes & Misdemeanours'' compilation.
Other Crimes & Misdemeanours III (2001). The third installment in a series of releases meant to gather rare and unreleased tracks by the British neo-prog outfit Galahad, Other Crimes & Misdemeanours III is a lazy fan's dream. Most of what the group released outside of their official full-length CDs between 1991 and 1996 have been included. The first three tracks comprise the whole of a CD EP released in 1993 on Voiceprint. "Aries," not available anywhere else, possesses the strength of a classic Galahad song. Fans of early Marillion may find that group's influence even stronger than usual. The next three tracks come from a radio session for BBC Radio One in 1991. These are not particularly brilliant and there had been a number of recordings of "Room 801" going around previously. Left out of the Classic Rock Live album due to lack of space, "Exorcising Demons" is much more satisfactory. The CD ends with the three songs Galahad contributed to various tribute projects during the decade: "The Ceiling Speaks" (originally by Twelfth Night), "Lady Fantasy" (Camel), and "The Chamber of 32 Doors" (Genesis). They all stand as honest efforts, but none match the original version.
