One of the best British Invasion bands, the Hollies were rightfully famous for their stellar harmonies and keen sense of pop songcraft. The Hollies originally inspired by the harmony rich sound of Buddy Holly, they soon became artistic contemporaries of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, with their distinctive sound which was all part of the British Invasion of the US in the 60's.

Volume 1: has 2 discs with disc 1 all mono and disc 2 all stereo. Disc 1 has the yellow and black Parlophone label and disc 2 has the Parlophone box type label. Disc 1 is a replica cardboard sleeve of the original mono LP including the mono catalogue number. Disc 2 is a replica cardboard sleeve of "The Other Side Of The Hollies" LP including the original back cover. The disc inside is the 31 track stereo version of disc 1.

Volume 2's first 23 tracks are the balance of the mono/stereo tracks. The first disc has the Parlophone box label and the second disc has a grey label with the pound sign Parlophone label. All the remaining tracks are the a & b sides of the singles all in stereo. Disc 1 is in a cardboard replica sleeve that duplicates the UK Greatest vol 2. Disc 2's cardboard replica sleeve is the US 10 track "More Great Hits".
