Precursor in electronic music, he was known in the beginning of the 80s, mainly in the Geneva area, between the french alps and the Jura, and Switzerland.Tracklist:
Thierry Fervant built his career as a composer, publisher and record producer in 1964 after completing his piano, higher solfege, harmony and counterpoint classes in Geneva. At the same time, he worked for 10 years as press secretary for the record label Barclay Records.
In 1968, Thierry Fervant wrote the music of more than 300 commercials for television, cinema, and institutional films (especially for Switzerland). He composes more than 400 recorded songs by various Swiss and foreign artists, and more than one hundred commissions for international TV series and feature films. He created and presides, from 1979 to 2012, a Geneva society post-production sound and image for television and cinema: The studio Maunoir and Maunoir Images.
In 1975, Thierry Fervant joined the Board of Directors of the Swiss Society for the Rights of Authors of Musical Works (SUISA), from which he became Vice-President from 1991 to 2007. Member of the FCMA Council (Chansons et Musiques Actuelles Foundation) ) from 2004 to 2011, he is also elected President of the SUISA Foundation for Music for the year 2005.
