Chyi Yu (Chinese: ; Pinyin: Qí Yù), born October 17, 1958, is a Taiwanese singer. She is also the older sister of Taiwanese singer songwriter Chyi Chin, and is best known for her 1979 hit, "The Olive Tree"

Multi-lingual Chyi Yu (English, French, Pinyin, Chinese and Mandarin) sings in english better than most when english is their native languge. Her voice is strong and soft at the same time. Chyi Yu albums are a must for anyone loving great vocalist. In particular is her interpretation of "Tibetan Buddhist Mantras".

The two CD set "The Unheard of Chyi Cd 1-2" includes great tracks along with short, very interesting interviews.

All albums have great accompaniment - Highly recommended!
