    At this time, the septet Color Tango is appreciated as one of the best tango orchestras in Argentina. From their tours around Europe and Japan, they have acquired a legendary reputation as guardians and rejuvenators of the incomparably classical tango style of Osvaldo Pugiese. Roberto Alvarez, the leader of this ensemble, played for eleven years in Pugliese's orchestra. In his compositions and arrangements we can hear what a profound experience that must have been for him.
