Dokken: Don Dokken (vocals); Jeff Pilson (vocals, bass); Mick Brown (vocals, drums); George Lynch (guitar). Engineers: Michael Wagener, Wyn Davis, Darian Rundall. Recorded at 710 Studios and Total Access Recording, Redondo Beach, California. 1995 was a busy year for Dokken. After the band had been on hiatus for several years following their 1988 live set BEAST FROM THE EAST, they put their differences aside and reunited. In the space of a single year, Dokken issued the unplugged ONE LIVE NIGHT, as well as their first all-new studio album in nearly 10 years, DYSFUNCTIONAL. While the personnel was the same, Dokken's sound was not–DYSFUNCTIONAL shows that the band were writing darker and heavier material, and shying away from Don Dokken's usual subject matter–heartbreak. But Dokken don't forsake melody–highlights include the album opener "Inside Looking Out," "Hole in My Head," and "Too High to Fly."
