    Zlatan Stipišić Gibonni is a Croatian singer, musician and composer from Split. Gibonni began his career in 1980s in a heavy metal band Osmi Putnik.

    Gibonni switched to solo career in 1990 with songs that were combining elements of rock, modern pop and Dalmatian folk songs. He soon created huge following, especially among Croatian youth, as well as promoting Catholic and traditional values.

    One of most famous songs written by Gibonni is Cesarica. Cesarica is a song that he wrote for Oliver Dragojević, and which was very big hit, and became croatian evergreen.

    In 2003 Zlatan Stipišić was appointed a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
