    Après une longue parenthèse consacrée à l'interprétation de Brassens, Maxime Le Forestier revient avec un album de nouvelles chansons finement ciselées. L'ambiance de plus de la moitié des titres est résolument tropicale, on se balade de Cuba à l'Afrique, porté par des musiques chaloupées où brillent les instruments acoustiques au son chaud, percussions, accordéons et guitares. On y trouve aussi du Le Forestier 'classique' ("Petit nuage sur Amsterdam", "Les Chevaux rebelles") où l'accompagnement divinement sobre de deux guitares et d'un violoncelle rappelle les grands succès du chanteur dans les années 70.
