    Two Cds with Philadelphia Orchestra under their legendary conductor Eugene Ormandy.

    The 1st cd with the title The Fantastic Philadelphians is a collection of Orchestral Showpieces.

    The 2nd Cd is Shostastakovich's last symphony (15th) along with the 2nd Piano sonata performed by Emil Gilels. Philadelphia Orchestra and Eugene Ormandy gave the American premiere of this Symphony. A few days later was recorded.

    The sound in both cases is highly enjoyable. Recorded in Scottish Rite Cathedral, Philadelphia.


    Note: These are Audiophile Recordings. There are some powerful dynamics of the music in some passages
