YHAM is a jazz quartet formed on the initiative of Yoann Haméon, saxophonist and composer from Seine et Marnais, also a teacher in the conservatories of the Melun-Val de Seine agglomeration. For this first personal project, he wanted to surround himself with talented musicians with whom he has forged musical relationships for many years: Jérôme Picard is on electric guitar, Philippe Monge on double bass and Ken Parassouramin on drums.

Julie Christensen’s story is woven into decades of Roots Music. A veteran of Leonard Cohen’s bands, she co-fronts post- punk rockers Divine Horsemen, which rebooted to release new work in 2021. While the pandemic was still going on, Julie moved from Nashville to NM and began the 2+ year process of recording "The Price We Pay for Love," out 4/14/2023 on WireBird Records.

Jan Albert van Eyken studied at the Leipzig Conservatory from 1845 to 1846 and became organist at the Remonstrants Church in Amsterdam in 1848, at the Zuiderkerk in Rotterdam from 1853 and at the Reformed Church in Elberfeld from April 1854. Among his admirers was Robert Schumann. Schumann later wrote to Joseph Joachim: "He plays quite splendidly; in Rotterdam I heard him play fugues by Bach, also BACH fugues [by Schumann], the first and the last, on an organ worthy of him."

This two set, 12-track collection was recorded live over two nights in San Francisco. Set 1 includes five Claypool originals bookended by superb King Crimson and Pink Floyd covers, while Set 2 is comprised of an unabridged performance of Pink Floyd s legendary 1977 concept album, Animals.

Lonnie Liston Smith and the Cosmic Echoes' groundbreaking albums for the Flying Dutchman label don't get the attention from jazz fans that they should. In fact, among the many distinguished alumni of Miles Davis' fusion bands, keyboardist Smith and his cohorts arguably ran with Davis' stylistic breakthrough the farthest. In five albums stretching over four years, Smith and the Cosmic Echoes stretched the fusion aesthetic to embrace post-bop modal and spiritual jazz, funk, rock, pop, and even the smooth jazz, quiet storm, and crossover genres.

Francis Poulenc, an accomplished pianist but little known in organ circles, published two works for organ: Litanies à la Vierge noire, FP 82 (1936), in which the organ accompanies a women’s choir, and the Concerto in G minor, FP 93 (1935–1938), with string orchestra and timpani. The latter is probably his most frequently performed and recorded concertante work, along with Concerto in D minor, FP 61 (1932), for two pianos and orchestra, and Concert champêtre, FP 49 (1927–1928), for harpsichord and orchestra. Besides Joseph Jongen’s Symphonie concertante for grand organ and orchestra, op. 81 (1926), it is the most popular 20th-century concerto among organists and audiences alike.
