This mostly instrumental live set features a variety of musical sketches for material released later in Frank Zappa's career, such as "Greggery Peccary" and "Bebop Tango." Led by a six-piece horn section, the material tends toward jazz-rock improvisation, with Zappa at one point taking musical direction from the audience. Unexpectedly dynamic and vibrant-sounding, this set is a fascinating example of the composer at his most creative and entertaining.
