This album contains some of Anne Murray's finest songs. Songs like "Snowbird" and "Danny's Song" sound as wonderful now as they did in the 1970's. Anne has the talent of selecting emotive songs whose messages do not date. "A Little Good News" may refer to conflicts of the past but that does not remove any of its relevance to the state of the news, and the world, today. When you listen to the song Anne really conveys a desire to hear good news for once - she sings her songs with conviction. Another particularily good song is her duet with Kenny Rogers "If I ever Fall In Love Again". This song, like all her songs, is very well written, eloquently expressing the pain and fear of falling in love again. Vocally, Anne and Kenny make a perfect pair. My only criticism of the album is the inclusion of "You Needed Me". The music sounds somehow dated - although as it is one of her most popular tracks I am prepared to consider this to be personal to me, and would encourage you to make up your own mind. I don't really have anything bad to say about this album. It is a great album to buy to remind you how good her songs are (as a compliation you are bound to know more than you expect), and a nice addition to your collection if you have been a fan some time, containing so many classic tracks along with "I'd Fall In Love Tonight" and "When I Fall" having both been specially recorded for the album.
