    Antwerp reed player Ben Sluijs has gained experience as a musician with groups such as Octurn, Brussels Jazz Orchestra, Philip Catherine, Myriam Alter Quintet, Paolo Radoni Quartet, Act Big Band, and others. own excellent quartet, in which pianist Erik Vermeulen, bassist Piet Verbist and drummer Eric Thielemans, enter into a professional and surprising dialogue with the compositions of Ben Sluijs.

    From the years of cooperation a close group grew, which gradually developed its own sound, and in which the interaction between the four musicians is central. Ben Sluijs again proves to be an unparalleled saxophonist. His phrases are full of finds and surprising variations in rhythm and timbre. Straight from the heart, elegant but also restrained, he lets the notes dance, supported by an equally sophisticated music-making rhythm section.
