    After releasing many great albums , composed each for a different guest preformer (lagoya-guitar,rampal-flute,zukerman-violin etc.) bolling returns to his trio (bass , drums and jazz piano) to take the spotlight back on himself. there are seven new pieces in this album changing from jumpy but not annoying jazz to floating - almost classical music ! if you have "tasted" any of his other albums - you are sure to enjoy this one as well !
    I will start by saying that I think the first track A la Francaise is one of the best jazz songs ever written. In my opinion Bolling is best at straight jazz and I wish he would have recorded more as a trio. The album reminds me alot of an Oscar Peterson album with and extra dash of classical.
