Before 2011, this Scottish band was virtually unknown, even by neo-prog scholars. For a band that has been around for a quarter of a century, this might seem quite a bit odd, but for one reason or another, the band broke up back in the 80s before they ever came out with a full length. Finally, this melodic prog group has a full-length album out, and as the saying goes; 'better late than never'.
This is the musical sound most of the famous UK Neo Prog bands have sadly moved away from in recent years. Fortunately for us there are some UK bands like Comedy of Errors who are bringing back this Neo prog era in all its glory. This album most certainly belongs to the musical highlights of 2011 since everything on this release just sounds perfect. Most tracks have been composed in the vein of neo-prog bands like IQ, Galahad, Arena, Abel Ganz, Pallas and Pendragon. But also famous seventies bands like Pink Floyd, Yes and Genesis were an inspiration. All songs sound superb mainly because of the high level of musicianship.
