For the artist the consummation of a dream, of his eagerness, of his creativity is his ultimate goal, the fruit of his sleeplessness, the concretion of a work of art. Just as a painter gives the last brushstroke, or a novelist closes his winding journey with the final word, the musician leaves the recording studio with the feeling of having left something more than between the soundproof walls and the intangible depth of the register his life, much more than his soul, a vast and subtle accumulation of sensations, experiences, dreams and desires … and although later life continues its unfailing and complex course, something has happened in that trance, a primordial change, inescapable and irreversible both for the creator as for who their recipients are, be they readers, observers or listeners.

Therein lies the great mystery, and miracle, of communication, in that reaching the other side, in that empathic relationship between sender and receiver, in the sublime act of transmission that is nothing but supreme beat and, above all, an incalculable reward

It is spoken with profusion and often and with unconscious lightness of projects, when one could speak of messages, of diffusion of illusions, of dreams that materialize before our astonished gaze with that magical lightness with which a new outbreak is born.

To this kind of dream - consistent, large, kneaded with effort and imagination over the past few months - belongs the one offered by the great Malaga saxophonist Enrique Oliver who has wanted to present with the revealing but disturbing title of Uncertainty.

It is said to be your most powerful project, or your strongest message. People have been talking about their gestation for a long time, their brightness, their reach, so many things. Many of us already had uncertain news of its content, we have heard in that disturbing and prodigal forum of the networks some of the themes included, the sweeping, deep and emotional ballad “Rocío”, the Rollinian echoes of the rhythmic and vibrant “Calipsonny”, with the that we have tempered the anxiety of the wait that, now, ends with success.

Recorded in the studios of Manolo Toro (Puerto Records) in the manner of yesteryear, run, without false shots - a shot and ready - and with all the musicians on par as if it were a live show - just as it did in his day for the Blue Note label, the famous sound alchemist Rudy van Gelder— to give a precise idea of ​​how it will be, with that magical imprint of empathy among musicians.

First level musicians who responded solicitously to the invitation and contributed their personal leave as drummer Jorge Rossy, pianist Albert Sanz and bassist Dee Jay Foster and with special guests when the occasion, and creative demand, he was called as the trumpeter Voro García and the flutist Fernando Brox contributed his personal sound flashes.

And finally, as a finish of the work well done, the work of adjustment and leveling of the fruit sown of the great Manuel Toro and ready for its edition of which I have been commissioned with the elegance and delicacy to which we have accustomed in its presentations the Sevillian seal Blue Asteroid.

The album is officially presented on Saturday December 28 at the Clarence Jazz Club in Malaga and on Sunday 29 here, in Clasijazz, "one of my favorite places on planet earth," in the words of Enrique Oliver himself, in a memorable concert that without doubt will pass to the annals as one of the most beautiful and of course highlights of the season.
