Oder Johnny Cashs „The Man Comes Around“.
One could never accuse inaction Hans Theessink. Consequently a further striking work year in the career of choice Wieners should be in 2011. Extensive touring, working on a new solo album, the release of his biography, numerous honors, including the Golden order of merit of the land Vienna…But that was not enough. Hannes Rossacher since a long time friend of the family, persuaded Theessink to an unusual project which has been implemented at lightning speed into action and now also as sound carrier is present. Title: "everyone remixed". "Hannes came in March of this year with the idea to me, I could play the music for everyone concept. It sounded very exciting, you would think spontaneously but more important, to use classical music"Theessink is explained in the CONCERTO interview. "But on closer inspection, it becomes clear that straight blues and roots thematically always already been closely with themes such as death and the devil."Ninety years game of the death of the rich man at the Salzburg festivals provide the occasion for the ORF, as long-existing archive material to collage of Alexander Moissi, which 1920 at Max Reinhardt's staging at the Salzburg Domplatz gave it to anyone - Reinhardt directed also at the premiere of the piece in 1911 in the Berlin circus Schumann - a complete "everyone" has up to Nicholas Ofczarek 2010. The cuts of this unique, cinematic project are supported by a soundtrack, which excels mainly stylistic continuity in. Theessink and Rossacher made based on the main topics of the converted the search for appropriate songs. The appearance of Johnny of cash's death is so "the man comes around" accompanied, that the Paramour of Ray Charles ´ "I got A woman" and the rich man's even–as Bo Diddleys could different "I ´ m A one". "The approach is of course completely usual plates. You have to choose songs on given topics, you come to numbers that you would probably normally never touched. I believe for example that I would have ever recorded songs by the stones. I love these numbers! A wonderful process for myself. Or of Johnny Cash's "the man comes around". For me a song that you don't actually touch, as second to none is the original. Here I had to do it and it was very instructive for me ultimately. By the way I'm singing the song to two tones deeper than cash did!"One of the key musical moments of the project is "Cuckoo", Hans Theessink song from the album, "Call Me". The atmospheric, Delta-soaked mysticism of the track, with its intense, vocally influenced by Theessink, Terry Evans and Bobby King mood seems like realizing ahead created for that moment where everyone of death is Unbekannte, who holds out his relentless hand upon him, invisible to the remaining landline company. "By putting in the artwork of the staging with the artwork of matching music, we both can strengthen and the voice of the piece more come to word", keeps Director Hannes Rossacher. Recorded with the confessed stones fan Knud Møller in Denmark - determine the soundtrack as well as traditionals or previously published Theessink compositions songs by Tom Waits, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Joe South, or Jagger/Richards-. With regard to the mother, who talks about the son in the conscience, Theessink/Rossacher were however not find it. As "Mother BB´s advice" was created, the Hans Theessink extra for "everyone remixed" composed. "This was a completely new experience for me. On "Order" I had never written songs".Also the cover art Maestro special pleasure. "I had always been desirous that Peter Pongratz of one of my designed cover. He had said that to me already. Now worked there finally, with just the everyone is extremely suitable for this". Once again a circle, which has embraced. What is the future? A piece for the Burgtheater? "Who knows?" laughs Theessink and somehow the feeling arises, we could still experience this, too.– by Dietmar Hoscher
