Lehár conducts Lehár: Waltzes & Overtures

For those who like tardy viennese romanticism is this historical album: Lehár conducts his own music. Waltzes and Overtures. The first time I assist to a live operetta performance was in 1975, when I was 8 years old. It was a performance of "The land of smiles" by Lehár. In the main male role was Giussepe Di Stefano and was sung in spanish!!! Well Di Stefano had not more his marvelous voice (and I was not so critic as I am now); my child's mind traveled several days betwixt oriental scenarios and that wonderful symphonic music. I hope this music brings back nice memories to you too.
