    The Schubert Lieder performed by the British tenor is something very interesting to explore in these days. Well yes we have the straight and secure performances by ie Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. His "An die Musik" is no match to the legendary performances of Fritz Wunderlich (but there is no match for this wonderful German Tenor).

    But he has his way of performing Schubert with great sensitivity without reaching the limits of "fool" sentimentalism. Schubert's music is that thing: sensitive. Today imho he is one of the honest and adorable performer of Schubert lieder. The accompanist in the piano, Leif Ove Andsnes is a natural and maybe the best choice, following exactly the way of Bostridge.
