    Winston Mac Anuff, compositeur et voix légendaire du reggae roots jamaïcain surnommé le dread électrique Winston Mc Anuff fils de pasteur commence à chanter tout naturellement à l'église ; c'est à Kingston dans ce nouvel environnement urbain qu'il commence à composer ces premiers morceaux pour notamment Dennis Brown et sort son premier album en 1978. Après cinq albums et quelques tournées mondiales il s'attache à la formation musicale de ses enfants (un est batteur l'autre DJ et le dernier chanteur). Début 1999 la flamme repart avec des collaborations tel que Mad Professor ou le dubber d'Improvisator dub. La rencontre surprenante avec Camille Bazbaz lors d'un concert au New morning à Paris donnera naissance à l'incroyable album "A drop" une merveille de groove et de finesse, mélange subtil de reggae et de soul.
