Billy Cobham - Nordic

While on concert tour in 1995, I came to understand how important it can be for musicians to work together - not just as individual elements that form a proper working unit in general but, trough their individual interpretation of the music they perform from day to day and from performance to performance. I am the lone 'outsider' in terms of the country represented on my passport, yet I feel as is I have been a working part of this musical group for much longer than the few days that it took to complete this recording. I have learned that it is just as important to study why the music "is" as it is important to play the music in a technically proficient manner reflecting the music's developmental base. Music is a "Sonic Mirror" that reflects the history, the present and the future of the 'minds' which create it. It will become common place in the future multimedia environment to see music being developed for presentation, as well as to simply listen to it being played.
