Beatles - Men & horses, hoops & garters [REPOST]

Posted By: bonomau
Tracks:

1.Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Lennon/McCartney) 1:50
A remix of the isolated 5.1 tracks. This version emphasizes the churning
rhythm groove.

2.With A Little Help From My Friends (J. Lennon / P. McCartney) 2:44
OOPSed version of the remix from the "Yellow Submarine Songtrack". This particular track draws your attention to Lennon's vocals, as well as the inverted chord structure of the Beatles' background harmonies.

3.Glass Onion (Lennon/McCartney) 2:31
Consists of a remix of Lennon's demo version followed by the second half of the commercial version.

4.And I Love Her (Lennon/McCartney) 2:02
The Anthology rehearsal take cross-faded into the CV during the guitar break.

5.She Loves You (Lennon/McCartney) 2:15
This track is especially stunning when heard on headphones; the doubling of the guitars and vocals on the chorus makes this a true power pop performance.

6.Eight Days A Week (Lennon/McCartney) 3:09
The CV book-ended with studio banter and vocal rehearsal.

7.She's A Woman (Lennon/McCartney) 3:00
Take 1 cross-faded with the CV.

8.Good Morning Good Morning (Lennon/McCartney) 4:48
Combines five different sources into an aural documentary of this classic song.

9.I Me Mine (Harrison) 2:25
Rehearsal take cross-faded into the CV.

10.Honey Pie (Lennon/McCartney) 3:07

11.It's Only Love (Lennon/McCartney) 2:37
Anthology rehearsal take cross-faded in to the CV.

12.Get Back (Lennon/McCartney) 3:55
Extended ending version, fading out and in.

13.Sour Milk Sea (Harrison) 4:00
Combines the Kinfauns demo with the Jackie Lomax recording.

14.I Am The Walrus (Lennon/McCartney) 4:33
Combines the commercial version, the Anthology track, the extended ending from "Acetates", and the isolated "King Lear" speech and a small bit from the Lost Lennon Tapes into a new stereo version.

15.ld Brown Shoe (Harrison) 3:19
Cross-fades the Anthology demo with the CV at the middle eight.

16.Why Don't We Do It In The Road (Lennon/McCartney) 3:45

17.What You're Doing (Lennon/McCartney) 2:59
Combines the rehearsal version with the CV.

18.Everybody's Got Something To Hide Except Me And My Monkey (Lennon/McCartney) 2:56
Features an extended crossfade from the Kinfauns demo into the CV.

19.Across The Universe (Lennon/McCartney) 4:05
Combines unique elements from both the Phil Spector and the George Martin mix.

20.Let It Be (Lennon/McCartney) 4:29
The double length lead guitar version (George's leads presented consecutively, not simultaneously).

21.(Medley) (unknown)10:28
Isn't It A Pity (Harrison)
Hey Jude (Lennon/McCartney)

22.Her Majesty (Lennon/McCartney) 0:25

23.King Lear Speech (unknown) 0:32

24.Sour Milk Sea (Harrison) 3:50

My Notes:
Loved and hated by almost the same amount of people, the truth is that you cannot judge if you haven't listened to it. This is one of the most sought-after bootlegs from the post-anthology era and a pretty creative one too.
