Çetin Işıközlü (born.1939), Turkish composer & conductor.
This symphony has been composed during composer's military service as a reserve officer; and was dedicated to Atatürk and His Comrades, to Turkish Armed Forces. It was performed by Bilkent Symphony Orchestra, Polyphonic Chorus of Ministery of Culture, Polyphonic Chorus of TRT conductor: Çetin Işıközlü, pianist: Mehveş Emeç, soprano: Aytül Büyüksaraç tenor: Pekin Kırgız. At the same time it was recorded as CD and Video Clip and released.
First performed in 1973 by the Presidential Symphony Orchestra and Ankara State Opera and Chrous for recording conducted by State Artist Hikmet Şimşek, pianist: Kamuran Gündemir, soprano: Özgül Tanyeri, tenor: Savaşeri Kolat.
Later staged in 1981 at Landestheather Detmold as Ballet performance being World Premier, choreographed by Frenc Suba; conducted by Çetin Işıközlü and later on Dieter Rossenberg within the framework of the ceremonies arranged on the occasions of the Centennary of Atatürk's Birthday, choreograph: Frenc Suba, coductor: Çetin Işıközlü and later Dieter Rossenberg.
In 1988 upon the protocol signed with the General Staff, this production was performed by the Presidential Symphony Orchestra Ankara State Opera Chorus, TRT Polyphonic Chorus conducted by Gürer Aykal, pianist: Ayşegül Sarıca, soprano: Feryal Türkoğlu, tenor: İhsan Ekber.
The work was also performed and broadcasted on TV in Baku in 1996, conductor: Çetin Işıközlü Azerbeycan State Symphony Orchestra and Chrous, solists, piano: Rena Rzayeva, soprano: Feride Memmedova, tenor: Hesen Enami.
