The album Sirius released in 1987 once again pushed the boundaries of Clannad's music. This was a transatlantic endeavour with the recording done in London and Wales and then the mixing in Los Angeles, adding a new American dimension to the record. Greg Ladanyi, a big name American rock producer and his acclaimed drummer friend Russ Kunkel co-produced Sirius. There was also significant guest input from Bruce Hornsby, Steve Perry, J.D. Souther and others.
