Katatonia - The Great Cold Distance (2006)
It's traditional metal with goth and doom influences. Katatonia has a lot of range and versatility and are able to go from acoustic and quiet to brutal and intense without missing a beat. It's a technical album that is cold and detached in spots, but also has that emotional spark to keep the listener fully engaged.
