You know who’s had a great year? Melis, that’s who. She rounds it off today with her fantastic Parallels EP, containing two brand new songs. The title track is a mournful and lurching elegy that sees Melis float over a featherlight chorus, while So Nobody Knows is a gentle and introspective jam that’s one of our faves of hers to date. If Melis keeps this up, 2018 will be hers for the taking.
Melis is a singer and songwriter, having both Turkish and Czech descent. Before her solo career, she appeared in a duo known as IYES. The Berlin-based artist describes her debut EP “Parallels”, which was published on November 24, 2017, as ‘a Melis story book’ in her interview with Billboard.
