2017 release. Zervas and Pepper are six piece band centered around songwriters Paul Zervas and Kathryn Pepper. Hailed by tastemakers for there "exquisitely harmonised, blissed out folk rock" - MOJO. The band has been back in the studio creating their follow up album to the critically acclaimed albums Lifebringer (2013) and Abstract Heart (2015). Abstract Heart brought the band to the attention of legendary songwriter David Crosby (The Byrds/CSN&Y) who reached out to give his endorsement. Several backstage meetings followed leading David to recommend the services of James Raymond of CPR and CSN&Y for recording and session work.
The first recordings for 2017 album Wilderland ensued at Raymond's Bamboo Studios in Los Angeles. Zervas & Pepper wrote most of the songs for Wilderland whilst hold up in a cabin in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado and returning to their acoustic roots to write. Surrounded by the wilderness, a return to nature seeps into the songs. The sanctuary of the cabin only disturbed by thoughts of the outside world and the unfolding events that would find their way into the fabric of the music.
Zervas and Pepper are a Folk Rock duo from Cardiff, Wales, who formed in late 2007. They play as a two piece outfit or a full band, and have a strong and growing presence on the UK-wide live circuit and international airtime, including appearances at theatres and festivals such as Glastonbury Festival and Green Man Festival, and regular national radio appearances.
