Chihiro Yamanaka's cheery yet powerful, passionate yet sensitive performance refreshes the soul. I saw her live in Sendai (Japan) in September 2012, and had wondered if a DVD would be as good as a live concert. This is as good as one can get. The recording picks up all three instruments extremely well and captures the moments perfectly. Chihiro, Yasushi Nakamura (bass) and John Davis (drums) complement each other brilliantly, and her guest performers Ben Williams (bass) and Bernard "Pretty" Purdie (drums) delighted me as well.
