Welcome back to the world of "The Amory Wars", the sci-fi universe of Coheed and Cambria! The progressive rock band from New York has announced the release of their new album "Vaxis II: A Window of the Waking Mind". The ambitious work spans 13 tracks and was produced by Claudio Sanchez and Zakk Cervini.

Four years after the first part, it's now time to buckle up again and set off on a thrilling journey to distant galaxies. In the second of a total of five parts of the "Vaxis" story, we accompany a couple on their escape from tyrannical forces and the mysterious new figure in their ranks.

Coheed and Cambria have never taken so long between two albums as between parts I and II of "Vaxis" - so it's no wonder that REVOLVER, among others, counts the upcoming work among its "Most Anticipated Albums of 2022" and the recent singles "Rise, Naianasha (Cut The Cord)" and "Shoulders" met with a lot of approval. The latter cracked the Top 10 on the "Active Rock Radio" chart, giving the band its highest-ever ranking on the U.S. radio charts. The song "masterfully combines heavy metal riffs and sweeping, melodic vocals - only Coheed can do that," explained MTV, which included "Shoulders" in its "2021 Favorites" list. "Coheed and Cambria are back, and they're as massive as ever," Billboard attested, Guitar World meanwhile noted, "Coheed and Cambria come out of the booth swinging," and Brooklyn Vegan observed, "Guided by their love of classic heavy metal riffs, the band explodes into the kind of all-out chorus that has always been their trademark…. and they sound pretty damn inspired doing it."
