    John Verity has had a varied and amazing career to date, including support dates with rock luminaries such as Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Who, John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, and Mountain, to recording dates with Ringo Starr, Keith Emerson, Greg Lake, Tim Rose, Zombies, Colin Blunstone, Phoenix, Charlie, and Argent to name but a few… Currently touring to promote his latest album ‘Tone Hound – on the last train to Corona’ a schedule that includes both unplugged and electric shows. JV has recorded and toured constantly with his solo projects- always with that distinctive soulful blues edge - and collaborations both in and out of the studio. One of these took place on a Jools Holland tour a while back when John first performed with stunning vocalist Bianca Kinane whilst promoting her debut album.

    In the making of this album I went to great lengths to ensure integrity of the audio. My amps were built by hand, have the best components and use valves. My guitars were designed and built especially for me, are kept in great shape and use vintage formula electronics. Every device in my setup is chosen to have no detrimental effect on the tone of my guitars. As ever, I've covered some great songs written by other people - great to sing, great to play, but also included some of my own original stuff. This time I have the pleasure of releasing the very first version of a song that I didn't write - 'Would You' - written by Viv Boucherat & Chris White. The lead vocal on this track is by Bianca Kinane, who I toured with many years ago, and who has remained one of my favourite vocalists. Its a pleasure to be working with you again Bianca - your voice touches my heart - and touches my soul… Which brings me to the other duet by Bianca and yours truly - 'Touch My Soul'. I tried to get the feel of an old Stax record on this one, and to that end we used a real brass section - none of your keyboard nonsense!
