    Die Musik von Ruth Wilhelmine Meyer klingt nicht wie von dieser Welt. Und doch geht es ihr auf „Klangbiotoper“ um ganz dringende, handfeste Themen: „Die Geschichte diese Albums fing mit einer lähmenden Angst und Apathie an“, so Meyer, „Ich habe beobachtet und darüber nachgedacht, was mit unserem Planeten passiert. Ich habe nachgedacht über meinen fehlenden Willen zum Handeln nach sowie den fehlenden Willen der Menschen im allgemeinen. So wurde die Arbeit an dieser Scheibe für mich zu einem Mittel, mit Orten, Gewächsen und Kreaturen in der Natur in einen Dialog zu treten.“ Und so ist „Klangbiotoper“ das geworden, was man von der norwegischen Ausnahmevokalistin wohl am Wenigsten erwartet hätte: Ein politisches Statement.
