This is Laquan's first and only album under that name, released for the 4th & B'Way/Island label. His lyrics were Afrocentric in nature but after this, he decided to go where the money was profitable and became hardcore/gangsta rapper Poppa LQ and never returned to his righteous ways again. The album also features vocalist Ricky Bell of New Edition/Bell Biv DeVoe. This features the songs "Now's The B-Turn", "Tear Your Soul Out" and "Swing Blue, Sweat Black"
