Soulnaturals - Love Says Yes! (2017)

Love Says Yes! is the swinging new album from UK Soul outfit Soulnaturals - a musical project put together by London's Tony Cannam, loaded with heartfelt stories of love and life. Soulnaturals are made up of a plethora of heavyweight vocalists and musicians, who together journey through the Soul spectrum, weaving a tapestry of emotive, hip-shakin' dance floor Soul, fusing classic Northern Soul, Funk, Blues, Motown, Reggae vibes and more! Kicking off the album with the electrifying You Make Me Feel Like I Can Change The World, this finger-snapping ditty features Australian Soul mamma, Kylie Auldist (of 'This Girl' by Kungs vs Cookin' on 3 Burners fame), and is to be released as the first single along with remixes from Jimi Needles and Cut La Roc. More single's set to be unleashed include the Reggae charged Oh Lord, When Will You Free Me, featuring stunning Portuguese singer Nadia Pimentel (known for her work with famous Jazz musician/composer Gast Waltzing); and the Feel-good Funky groover I Am The Lost That Do Not Want To Be Found, which sees hip Soulnaturals band leader Tony Cannam give his vocal chords a mighty flexing. Laid back, sunshine vibes are aplenty as Davinia Vincent lays her warm soul-sista tones over a jazzy, blissful soundtrack on Gotta Get My Hands On Some Good Loving. This is followed by the bluesy funk-filled groove of I Need A Piece Of Sunshine, featuring the irresistible voice of The Soul Immigrants frontman, Emrys Baird, who also delivers a spine tingling lead on Moody Judy. Reggae / Ska music legend, Dave Barker (who had the UKs first Reggae No.1 hit with Double Barrell by Dave & Ansell Collins), makes a powerful appearance with a strong message on the classic Soul flavoured Let Freedom Ring. I Got Sunshine (Enough For The World) is an upbeat slice of classic party Soul, featuring positive vocal vibes from Jo Kelsey. The oh-so-funky A Room Full Of James Browns features the distinctive voice of one of the leaders of the new generation Brit-Soul pack, Danny Toeman. Closing out Love Says Yes! is the heart-wrenching slow jam, My Love For You Is Not Of This Earth, where Bre-Antonia's vocal radiates sheer beauty and raw emotion, as the album signs off on a dreamy orchestral departure.
