Stephen Kellogg delivers his first solo album in 10 years. The title, Blunderstone Rookery is a literary reference to Charles Dickens David Copperfield. The album was self-produced in conjunction with longtime friend and collaborator Kit Karlson, mixed by Mike Mogis and features guest performances by Travis McNabb and Annie Clements from Sugarland, Sean Watkins from Nickel Creek, Jerry DePizzo from OAR.
Formerly…Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers, Kellogg decided to go out on his own for a while with Blunderstone Rookery and spend some quality time as a solo artist. Kellogg's history with the Sixers is rich garnering critical acclaim from mainstream outlets like USA Today and Americana/Alt Country/Roots music sites like No Depression.
