    Review:
What are we supposed to call this collection that's produced for cable's premiere fashion channel? Runway Rock? Except that it's not rock, it's a tightly produced set of neo-disco with equal dashes of jazz, R&B, and house that's very flashy and yes, very much in fashion.

Starting off with the cool dance beat of Jay Q's "Summer Sojourn" the CD moves smoothly through a terrific version of "Ain't No Sunshine" by The Azul Project that maintains the cool in a downbeat way. Other highlights include Charles Schillings & Pompon F.'s echoey take on George Benson's guitar, "Starshine," Urban Chill's spacey "Footprint on Sand," and Ive Mendes's bossanova (um, is "remodeling" the right word here?) version of Chicago's "If You Leave Me Now," which I'd much rather listen to than the original.

Only the intro track seems to be actually about models. Indeed, the only thing some of these cuts have to do with fashion may be the ultra-cool atmosphere, but who cares? Like a slinky girl in a designer dress, this French import never fails to turn your head as it walks by. [Rusty Pipes, cosmik.com]
