"Down Low," the second album from Brother Chunky, is a collection of funky bluesy tunes that feature chunky guitar riffs, dance-able grooves, and catchy lyrics. The musicians who performed on Down Low all turned in stellar performances. Brother Chunky is excited to add these songs to the live shows.

History– Brother Chunky is an independent musician (singer/songwriter/guitarist) based in Utah, USA. As a farm boy growing up in Idaho he was exposed to a wide-variety of music (from old-country to heavy metal). He took piano lessons and played the trombone in school bands. BC started teaching himself to play the guitar at the age of 22 and played in a few random bands in college. The first band he formed was simply called “Chunky” (original high energy “funk, punk and junk).” After a couple years, the band name was changed to GMI. BC ended up taking some time off from music to focus on being a father. During these years, he continued to jam at home and write songs. He started making home recordings of his new songs and posted them on Myspace under the name “Brother Chunky.” People seemed to like the music, so he decided it was time to start performing again. BC’s music reflects the variety of music he heard as a child, but no matter what he plays, his signature “Chunky-funk” groove comes through.

Brother Chunky Band– Some of the best musicians in Utah play with the Brother Chunky Band. The band is known to put on high energy performances at music festivals, city events, clubs, parties, etc. Folks enjoy the mix of Brother Chunky originals and select covers. The Brother Chunky Band has been voted the #1 Jazz/Blues Band by the Daily Herald Reader’s Poll (and the #2 Best Party Band) for three consecutive years (2015, 2016, 2017).

Brother Chunky (solo)- BC performs regularly as a solo act. He mixes in a bit of humor with a wide variety of music.
