Amorphous Androgynous - Alice In Ultraland (2005)

Amorphous Androgynous never-ending psychedelic project continues with Alice In Ultraland, which was apparently the original title for Future Sound Of London's 2003 album The Isness, which has already been re-issued with a host of bonus tracks. Therefore, listeners can expect more of the same from the Isness sessions, which will please or displease FSOL enthusiasts depending on whether you are enamoured with Dougans and Cobain's Pink Floyd impersonations or not.
It's a little more widescreen than what was delivered through The Isness sessions. The ethnic influence is slightly less apparent, partially replaced by cheesy Hammond organs and wah wah guitar funk (The Prophet). And of course, the one thing that Dougans and Cobain retain is their considerable production nouse, which puts them a cut above so many others who blend electronics with traditional instruments - once again, everything is flawlessly mixed here.
