    This release presents two remixes of Japancakes' recent My Bloody Valentine covers: 'Soon' and 'Touched', both from Loveless The tracks here are some bizarre third generation retake then, removed from the source several times over. On 'Soon' James Rutledge throws his electronics into the mix resulting in a spectacularly confused melding of fizzy synthesis and a thoroughly obliterated mesh of instrumentation. Richard Tobar's reworking of 'Touched' is a little more conventional, at least in terms of the techno-tinged beat production, but the layers of synth approximate a Shields-like preoccupation with texture and density.
