Los Carayos was an all-star band including musicians from some of the biggest bands of the late 80's French alternative rock scene. François Hadji-Lazaro (from Les Garçons Bouchers, Pigalle) Manu Chao (and his brother Tonio, from La Mano Negra), Schultz (from Parabellum) and Alain Wampas (from Les Wampas & Happy Drivers) were the musicians in the band. The music is a mix of rockabilly, folk, punk & chanson. The live performances of the band were know to be spectacular and wild as this kind of music can be… Los Carayos ceased activity due to the success of each of the members's other projects but remain a legend among those who took interest in the alternative scene.
