    Pelican (sometimes referred to as Untitled) is the debut EP by American post-metal band Pelican. It was originally released as a demo in 2001, before the band signed to Hydra Head Records, who re-released it in 2003.

    "Fans of Isis, Hydrahead, 5ive listen up. There is room for another jam/core instrumental band in this vein isn't there? Call it instrumental jam.. hmm… not quite. Call it Isis meets 5ive.. That may be more fitting. Or just call it another genius release from that breeding ground label - Hydrahead. Damn! This one comes out of the gate with hard crunching riffs (ala M. Gallagher), setting soundscapes that are almost visual. Fans of Oceanic know what I'm talking about."
