The original recording of this film, directed by Jarre, has not received so far one remastering with current technology. So the Silver Screen label decided to offer this album, released in 1989, which is a more complete reissue than the original vinyl (up to 40% longer), performed by the 'London Philharmonia Orchestra' conducted by Tony Bremner, on orchestrations by Christopher Palmer reviewed by the same Maurice Jarre. Five of the thirteen tracks included on this CD did not appear in the original band (they are marked with an asterisk in the list of titles) and the whole repertoire has been grouped into sections not exactly corresponding with the original LP.Track list:
