ELEPHANTS ON TAPE – detail-loving Independent Pop, combined with live-electronics. Five Elephants, archieving balance on a black tape, mounted on the thin line between danceable, krautesk beats and spherical soundscapes. Lisa Zwinzscher (voc, git), Markus Rom (git, voc, synth), Robert Gemmel (synth, sampler, voc), Lukas Stodollik (bass) und Hans Arnold (drums) found each other in the mutual strive for enormous sounds in both live and studio contexts. The five of them share a common preference for electronic and acoustic mixtures, which is uttered in form of a music that couldn’t be more up-to-date than it is – electronical sounds, created by acoustic instruments. With this concept a unique bandsound was created, whose borders are softened anew on every concert.
