"…Xavi returns to the piano/bass/drum jazz trio formula of “Reflections” but with a new pair of accompanists. Pianist José Carra and bassist José Manuel “Popo” Posada provide the perfect balance of tone color and energy to match Xavi’s sensitive and interpretive playing on the kit.

Two words that comes to mind so often as I listen to Xavi’s compositions are “articulate” and “coherent”. His precise yet fluid playing effortlessly holds the music together while allowing for great freedom of the other players to interpret on their instrument. Xavi’s ability to truly listen to each bandmate’s performance in the track and reinforce/embellish the ideas where necessary while managing to soar high above, drone- style, and take in the whole picture from different angles is simply staggering. I am thankful to be in a world where such beauty exists…"
