Released a year after a similar combination reissue of Angela Bofill's 1983 albums (Too Tough/Teaser), soulmusic.com gives her 1984 and 1985 albums similar treatment. "Let Me Be the One", a peculiar but occasionally excellent collaboration with the System, leads with its highlights - "Can't Slow Down," the closest Bofill got to making her own "I Feel for You," and the supremely sleek ballad "Let Me Be the One." "Tell Me Tomorrow", produced by George Duke, is not as eventful. Only the title track charted, and rightfully so.

"Let Me Be The One" is the sixth album by Angela Bofill, released by Arista Records in 1984. "Let Me Be the One" was produced by David Frank and Mic Murphy who, at the time, were enjoying much success as The System. Let Me Be the One was much more synth-heavy R&B flavored than her earlier jazz-oriented works. The title song reached #84 on the Billboard R&B Chart.

"Tell Me Tomorrow" is the seventh album by Angela Bofill. It was released by Arista Records in 1985. This was her last release on Arista before taking a three-year break and moving to Capitol Records. The album was produced by keyboardist George Duke.
