Lacuna Coil's new live album, Live from the Apocalypse, is the result of an unprecedented time. Unlike previous live albums - Visual Karma (Body, Mind and Soul) (2008), Shallow Live: Acoustic at Criminal Records (2010) and The 119 Show - Live in London (2018) - the Italians, under the yoke of the pandemic, have found a clever way for their loyal fanbase to hear and see them on stage by organising a special live stream event where they performed their latest album Black Anima in September 2020

By all accounts, this was no ordinary gig. Although Lacuna Coil performed in their hometown of Milan - at the famed Alcatraz Club - there were no fans to greet them. No roar of anticipation, no clapping of admiration, no interaction with the people who, over two decades, have become deeply involved in and deeply love Lacuna Coil's music and live shows. The energy of the live stream was different. It needed to be. With their hearts in the right place, cameras rolling and the world tuning in online, Lacuna Coil brought "Black Anima: Live from the Apocalypse" to life

To commemorate this event, Lacuna Coil and Century Media are now releasing the live stream event on CD/DVD and LP/DVD under the title "Live from the Apocalypse".
