Picaresque Of Bremen, led by Tochizawa Jun, were formed in the early 1980's in Morioka City in Iwate and they performed mainly in the Iwate prefecture.
Early POB are influenced by Jethro Tull and other hard rock bands though this is written without having heard the band's first 2 releases. About this early band, however, the band's leader, Tochizawa said "we were not good enough to play the instruments". The band eventually migrated to a pop side. Female vocalist Kudo Yukari(later Tochizawa Yukari) joined on with teh 3rd album. Then POB restarted as a duo but their pop music surprised old fans - most being disapponted at their music and they abandoning the band. On the other hand, they captured new fans - though they were not very good at playing the instruments. The 3rd album Out Of The Way therefor represents a work in a transitional period.

4th,5th,6th albums are masterpieces. Sato Masanori(ex.Himekami Senseishon) joined it from 4th album. This appearance empowered fullness of the instrumental parts. POB were at last, a band to play for audience in the live concert without being concerned over their ability to play on their instruments. From this period forward, their music is associated with 90125-era Yes though vocalist Yukari resembles to a different Japanese pop singer, Matsuda Seiko - which is to say she has a very good voice. All the songs are sung in Japanese.

The band's last album was released in 1992. The band did not formally announce disbanding however. Jun is now a member of another band. and guitarist Kato Naohiko doesn't play the guitar saying "I can't play as past days". Sato continues as a drummer/musician living in Iwate.
