    Every Time I Die is an five-piece metalcore band from Buffalo, New York, founded in the winter of 1998. Though popularly classified as metalcore, Every Time I Die's sound also contains strong elements of southern rock and a hint of grindcore. The band is currently signed to Ferret Records and their latest album, Gutter Phenomenon, was released on August 23, 2005. In early 2006 they were on tour with Bleeding Through, Between The Buried And Me and Haste The Day. In late 2006 they supported Atreyu on the World Championship Tour along with From First to Last and Chiodos. Their new album, titled The Big Dirty, will be released September 4th, 2007.

    The compositions on this disc are from three different Marini publications: opus 3, 8, and 22 (his last published collection). They fall under three types: pieces for solo violin and continuo, trio sonatas, and dances and other short pieces for string quartet (!) with continuo. Among the highlights are the SONATA QUARTA for violin (track 6, an attempt to adapt vocal monody, the expressive recitative of early opera, to instrumental terms); ROMANESCA (track 7), based on a ground bass shared with "Greensleeves"; the 12-minute PASS'E MEZO (track 15), a prismatic variations piece; and especially the poignant, eloquent PASSACAGLIO (track 8). Everywhere, Marini's harmonic boldness and his distinctive, bittersweet lyricism are in evidence. This disc is a fine place to start for anyone interested in exploring the instrumental side of the 17th-century Italian STIL MODERNO.

    "Chansons du prolétariat révolutionnaire" écrites par les situationnistes Guy Debord, Alice Becker-Ho, Raoul Vaneigem, Étienne Roda-Gil, détournements de Jacques Leglou de chansons fameuses, l’ensemble est évidemment jubilatoire, et magnifiquement réalisé selon les codes de la variété de l’époque avec des musiciens de l’Opéra. Seule chanson historique, L’bon dieu dans la merde, est célèbre pour avoir été chantée par Ravachol en montant sur la guillotine. Les voix sont celles de Jacques Marchais et Jacqueline Danno (sous le pseudonyme de Vanessa Hachloum, Hachloum comme HLM !). Le 33 tours, épuisé en quatre mois.
