In 1981, Funk Master and Top line producer, the one and only, Norman Whitfield, assembled the finest talent in the land: Taka Boom (vocals) - Chaka Khan's sister, Joe Harris (vocals), Trey Stone (vocals, guitar) Melvin D. Stewart (vocals/bass guitar), Lloyd Williams (vocals), James R. McKinney (keyboards, trumpet, mini Moog), Ron Artist (keyboards, synthesizer) and Pete Carr (drums and percussion). Dream Machine recorded only one album on RCA, it includes "The Force", "Shakedown" (the first single which was a club hit) and "Dream Machine".
