New studio album from Jadis. This has been getting some great reviews aswell as interviews and reviews in Prog Magazine .The promotional gigs were excellent with more scheduled for March 2025. Jadis are a melodic rock band hailing from the south of England. They became a full-time gigging outfit when they supported IQ on their 'Nomzamo' tour of Britain and Europe. 'As Daylight Fades' was recorded at one of Jadis' now legendary outdoor gigs in the New Forest, Hampshire, in 1996, two years prior to it's official release. Chronologically, it was recorded after the completion of the first two studio albums, but also after the departure of both Orford and Jowitt, who left to concentrate on the time consuming production of IQs 'Magnum Opus', 'Subterranea', (although Martin 'Iffy' Orford does make a guest appearance toward the end of the show, to play flute on 'More Than Meets The Eye').

Jadis is a U.K. neo-progressive rock group. They play guitar-driven rock with the use of synthesizers to add depth and atmosphere, and an emphasis on melody. They are currently signed to InsideOut Music. The name Jadis is taken from the novel "The Magician's Nephew" by C.S.Lewis. The same character appears as the white witch in "The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe." Jadis was formed in 1986 and in 1989 released their first album Jadis, which was produced by Marillion's Steve Rothery. In 1992, More Than Meets the Eye was released and was received well in the progressive rock scene.

Gary Chandler (guitar and vocals) and Stephen Christey (drums and percussion) founded English neo-progressive rockers Jadis in the late 80's and quickly scored some prestigious opening slots, including a coveted stint supporting progressive rock giants Marillion on their 1988 tour. The following year found them headlining London's legendary Marquee Club and recording their first demos with the help of Marillion guitarist Steve Rothery, but repeated line-up changes would force them to wait two more years before beginning work on their debut album, More than Meets the Eye.

"No Fear of Looking Down" is the 8th studio album by English band Jadis. Band members Gary Chandler, Stephen Christey and Andy Marlow team up once more to create their unique brand of melodic, riff laden progressive rock. They are joined on this project by former Jadis / IQ maestro Martin Orford who creates echos of the bands ‘More than meets the eye’ era with his flute playing as well as contributing keyboard solos, piano and backing vocals.

This is the 7th studio album from Southampton modern progressive rockers Jadis complete with all the hallmalks and traits that you could want and expect from this guitar led band interweaved with surprise twists and turns and full of guitar solos and melodies, memorable heavy riffs, compelling loops and percussion sections with dynamic song structures and sweeping keyboard soundscapes…this is an absolute must for the melodic and progressive rock fan.
This album is very good indeed. It ticks all the boxes, fabulous guitar, nice vocals, melody with all the requisite progressive elements thrown in. It needs a few spins like any album that will stay with you for the long term.
