    For those who don't know In Extremo, they are a band that mixes medieval and metal music, with bagpipes, harp, and several other unusual instruments. They released a live CD/DVD (Raue Spree 2005) lately and they have taken part into the Eurovision contest, which probably helped them for the charts. As a matter of fact, In Extremo has never had so high positions in charts before the live album (I think it had started at #3, then got down slowly, which is very high since In Extremo used to be pretty underground).

    I got the idea for this post yesterday when me and the family was on a road trip. I knew the original Leroy Mercer, real name was John Bean, was from the Maynardville, TN (USA) area. So, I just happened to find the store that may or not be the real Eddie's Auto that was immortalized in the famous "Eddie's Auto" phone call prank, which is included with this post, and snapped a picture of it. John Bean died of cancer related complications in 1984, way before caller ID, so these are priceless.

    Если бы меня самого попросили сделать подобный сборник “тихого битла”, то по составу композиций он практически не отличался бы от данной пластинки: по крайней мере, 10 из 13 трэков, я бы точно туда включил.

    В диск вошли самые яркие композиции Харрисона, начиная с битловских Here Comes The Sun и While My Guitar Gently Weeps, и заканчивая его сольными хитами Bangladesh и, конечно же, My Sweet Lord. Кстати, на данный момент это единственный альбом, на котором вы можете услышать студийный вариант Bangladesh.

    Не знаю даже, что и сказать. В общем девчонке 16 лет, от А до Я сделала всё сама и без какого-либо спец. образования; в семье спецов тоже нет. Всё в бытовых условиях. По-моему это просто талант. Если не трудно, выскажите свое мнение и кто может посоветуйте что делать – жалко, зазря талант пропадает. Прошу обратить внимание именно на сьемку и монтаж, идеи. Мордашек открывающих рты у нас в шоу-бизнесе хватает, а вот с клипмейкерами по-моему проблема. Может я и ошибаюсь, Вам судить. Есть и более ранние несколько работ, если будет интерес – опубликую.

    12 Girls Band will be familiar to most in the US as the group that was performing Chinese music at the end of the Closing Ceremonies of the Athens Summer Olympics in 2004. The group performs on traditional Chinese instruments, the er-hu, the pipa, the dizi, and the zheng. The members are classically trained musicians who normally perform in traditional Chinese orchestras. Nevertheless, these musicians show their versatility and liveliness through their performance in the 12 Girls Band. Their fresh sounds comes from an updating of traditional Chinese music with a contemporary music sound and rhythm. Not only are they able to thus make Chinese music more accessible (and listenable) to Western ears, they also perform Western music (both symphonic and popular, including the jazz great Paul Desmond's Take Five) through a Chinese music prism. 12 Girls Band is tremendously popular in China.
